NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC NAMES LEONARDO HOTELS AMONG EUROPE’S BEST
The Fattal Hotel Group is very proud to report that two of its hotels were recently included in National Geographic “Best of” lists. National Geographic is known worldwide for its destination guides that cater to every type of traveler, and the magazine showcased the unique guest experiences offered by two Leonardo hotels: The Dilly in London, and The Manor in Amsterdam.
Perfectly located by the iconic Piccadilly Circus, The Dilly was selected as “Best for Families” in the London area. Each day begins with the 40-foot (12-meter) indoor pool: “It’s definitely our biggest attraction – very rare in central London,” said Daniel Loosley, General Manager. “Kids like to have a swim before breakfast, then try our pancake machine at the buffet.”
National Geographic highlighted The Dilly’s afternoon tea, which features a chocolate Big Ben filled with raspberry ganache, as well as its closeness to attractions like Hamleys toy store and the nearby Waterstones, offering London’s largest selection of children’s books. “After teatime,” National Geographic continued, “ask the hotel’s legendary doorman, Rushy, to point you to all the best Harry Potter filming locations.”
On the other side of the Channel, The Manor Amsterdam was crowned “Best for Guests Who Want to Feel Like Locals,” with National Geographic praising its down-to-earth character, including the low-key black bikes that let tourists explore at their own speed.
Situated in the hip Oost neighborhood, The Manor is within walking distance of the Oosterpark and its rollercoaster-style playground, as well as attractions beloved by locals and tourists alike, such as ARTIS Zoo and the Wereldmuseum. National Geographic also suggests that guests “stroll the nearby Dappermarkt, selling produce, flowers, and Dutch treats like poffertjes (small pancakes served with butter and powdered sugar).”
The Fattal Hotel Group is delighted by the inclusion of its hotels in such esteemed guides and may even have some pancakes – or poffertjes – to celebrate.
